Why Doors "Slammed Open"?
DSO Ministries looks for open doors (opportunities) to walk through. The work in La Palma started with a vision for starting a church in La Palma, Chalatenango, El Salvador. It grew to include a children's program and a Christian school. These are all still going strong. WE started making other plans. There were times WE couldn't even get OUR plans started, let alone completed. Then it became apparent, that God had plans. HE would open doors we hadn't even considered.
The orphanage WE wanted was bogged down in so much red tape, there was no way it was going to happen. But using the facility for the boarding school HE wanted has now produced high school graduate who will soon be a university graduate! These children would otherwise have stopped going to school after sixth grade.
The preacher school in La Palma WE worked so hard to get started right away couldn't keep a student for more than a few weeks. Later, in HIS time, the Instituto Bíblico de Ocotepeque Honduras and Instituto Bíblico de San Ignacio (El Salvador) collectively know as the Border Bible Institute - Instituto Bíblico de la Frontera) has produced six graduates and two certificates of completion. These graduated students have started other churches. The number of churches we are involved with has gone from that one congregation in La Palma, to La Palma, San Ignacio, Citala, Santa Rosa, and El Rosario (in El Salvador); and Ocotepeque, La Antigua, and Santa Anita (in Honduras).
When WE submit to HE, the doors don't just open...
they're Slammed Open.
All we have to do is follow HIM through.
